Nara Kasugayama Shuzo — founded in 1877 and renamed from Yagi Shuzo in 2022 — sits on famous spring water at the foot of the Kasuga primeval forest. Its Hanafuda series of umeshu and yuzushu, launched in 2003, is a long-seller with many awards at home and abroad.
